Telfryn John, P.E. is the new NHA Transportation Committee Chair after having previously served as Vice Chair for the past 3 years. Telfryn is Senior Vice President at Geoscience Engineering & Testing and provides over 40 years of professional engineering and consulting to the NHA team.

New to the committee leadership is Vice Chair Donna Adams, Vice President and Senior Business Development Director for AtkinsRealis. Donna has 23 years of experience in the A/E/C (architecture, engineering and construction) industry. She leads key client relationship development, pursuit strategy (and especially enjoys coaching and prepping teams for interviews), and is a champion for successful project delivery. 

Development Committee

Michelle Hundley steps into the role of Chair to NHA’s Development Committee after serving as Vice Chair in 2023. She has also served as Economic Development & International Trade Advisor to Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, and in August 2022, was recognized as one of the Top 100 CMOs in America by the National Diversity Council.

Devin Baker is the newest addition to our Development Committee leadership and is serving as Vice Chair. Devin currently works as a Broker at Sendero Real Estate focusing on land brokerage and residential development. Prior to joining Sendero, Devin was Vice President of Commonwealth Development and lead the firm’s multifamily development efforts in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Environment Committee

Chair: Matthew Clinton CWB
Senior Environmental Project Manager
BGE, Inc.

Matthew Clinton, Senior Environmental Project Manager at BGE, Inc. is the new Chair of NHA’s Environment Committee.

Matthew specializes in biological analyses, threatened and endangered species surveys, noise analyses, wetland delineations in accordance with the 1987 USACE Wetland Delineation Manual, and air quality analysis for vehicular source emissions.

In February 2008, Matthew received his Certification from the Wildlife Society as a Certified Wildlife Biologist, and in December 2010 he completed all requirements to become a qualified airport wildlife biologist.

He brings over 24 years of experience and expertise to the group as he steps into the role.

Water Committee

The Water Committee leadership remains the same this year, and we are very excited to see what this group has in store for 2024. The committee is led by Chair, Span Tummuri, PhD, P.E. of JACOBS and Vice Chair, Sam Hinojosa, P.E. of Halff. 

“Mrs. Tummuri’s specialty is water supply as she is Vice President and Operations Leader over at JACOBS, and Mr. Hinojosa focuses on flood control as Vice President of Water Resources Regional Practice at Halff. This brings great perspective to the committee as it does its work of advocacy and education,” says NHA Chairman Ed Shackelford, P.E.
