The North Houston Association (NHA) will honor Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal, Cypress Creek Flood Control Coalition’s Jim Robertson and Vesta Rea-Gaubert, Vesta Rea & Associates, at its awards luncheon on May 30.
Judge Doyal will receive the organization’s North Star Award for his long-term contributions to the north Houston region. NHA’s Environmental Impact Award will be presented to Robertson for his dedication to the preservation of Cypress Creek including the creation of parks and pathways along the creek. Rea-Gaubert will be given the association’s Compass Award for her leadership on NHA’s rebranding and website creation.
“This year’s honorees are all three very different, yet have all made a tremendous impact,” said NHA’s Executive Director Marlisa Briggs. “We combine our awards event with our State of the Counties address because it’s the perfect way to celebrate north Harris and Montgomery Counties.”
Harris County Judge Ed Emmett and Montgomery County Judge Craig Doyal are serving as event speakers, giving an update on each county’s accomplishments and priorities. The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. at the Marriott Waterway Hotel and Convention Center in The Woodlands. For registration and sponsorship information visit www.North-Houston.com
