Air Quality Research

HARC’s work in air quality research and project management includes air quality modeling, health impact assessments, emission reduction technologies, air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions inventories, air quality monitoring technology and policy, and regional mitigation of and adaptations to climate change.

HARC's Geospatial Solutions

HARC uses a variety of geospatial and analytical tools to develop data and applications. HARC also has access to a variety of application templates that can be configured to the needs of the project, minimizing the need for in-depth programming, and thus focusing on the more important task of communicating information in an engaging and intuitive manner.

Bayou Land Conservancy 

Since 1996, Bayou Land Conservancy (BLC) has been a land and water conservation leader. In 2019, BLC developed a Strategic Conservation Plan to continue that tradition for the next twenty years. This plan identified lands with the greatest positive impact on flood control, water quality, and wildlife habitat in the region.

Houston Parks Board

Since 1976, Houston Parks Board has invested over $258 million supporting over 250 parks and creating more than 14,000 acres of new parks and trails. They work on projects, big and small, including Bayou Greenways, community programs, studies of Houston’s parks, and care for existing parks. But they don’t do it alone. Their staff works with the City of Houston, donors, volunteers, and park visitors like you to foster new possibilities and create a community for everyone’s future.

Transportation & Mobility Resources

The purpose of the Strategic Mobility Plan is to Identify mobility projects which are in need of either financial support or political/public support. Selected projects are to be within the North Houston Association (NHA) service area, and their completion will positively impact one or more of the following issues: mobility, safety, and economic development, and have an element of achievability.

Water Resources

The North Houston Association is a founding member of Houston Stronger, which today, works to find solutions to regional flood control by diligently working to ensure these plans include projects to help create a safer future for us all.

One of NHA’s 2023 legislative objectives was to win support for the Flood Infrastructure Fund (FIF) and continued funding for the Regional Planning Groups.
