Just 5 days before Christmas, our members and local elected officials gathered for a great evening of introductions and conversation. Signorelli Company hosted a reception at their beautiful office space in honor of outgoing Congressman Kevin Brady and Congressman-Elect Morgan Luttrell.

Congressman Brady, dedicated and not quite done in office, was pulled to Washington for a vote at the last minute. Realizing he’d miss our event, the Congressmen sent in a video with heartfelt remarks on his time serving the North Houston region. In the video, the Congressman shares many accomplishments during his tenure that make him particularly proud and that, “The North Houston Association has been a critical organization for the development, not just the infrastructure, but of the culture and the growth of the North Houston Region.”

Following Congressmen Brady’s video, Congressmen-Elect Luttrell took the “stage” to introduce himself. He shared his excitement about getting to serve the 8th district and a few quick anecdotes about his time since being elected. Fun fact: He warned us all (from personal experience), “Don’t walk on the senate floor in tennis shoes. It’s a quick way to meet the capitol officers.”

The rest of the evening was spent chatting and eating small bites, while attendees mingled and enjoyed NHA’s last event of the year.

NHA considers itself incredibly lucky to have worked with local leaders and partners such as Congressman Brady, and look forward to working with Congressmen-Elect Luttrell to continue making a better North Houston region.

Thank you to all of our event sponsors and attendees who came out to support us during their holiday break!
