Association Mission and Area

The North Houston Association on behalf of its members identifies advocates and supports projects and initiatives which advance the business environment and improve the quality of life in North Harris and Montgomery counties.  The North Houston Association’s geographic boundaries include portions of Harris County, Montgomery County, and the City of Houston, and encompass 1,337 square miles of the Houston Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

A Message from the Chairman

As President of The Woodlands Development Company, developer of The Woodlands and a founding member of NHA, I greatly value the productive partnership we have with this outstanding organization. With their help, we have addressed important issues such as mobility, education, workforce training, the environment and quality of life that have a profound and lasting effect on the economic development of our business and our community. Their help in gaining grass roots support for the opening of the Hardy Toll Road in 1987 was one of the most crucial milestones in the successful growth of The Woodlands.  Being in the right place at the right time is not just a matter of luck – it involves building strong alliances with partners that share common goals. This is the mission of the North Houston Association.
