Claudia Williamson

Claudia Williamson joined Lockwood, Andrews, & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) in October 2006 as director of government relations, where she leads LAN's local, state and federal government relations program; manages LAN-PAC (Political Action Committee), and serves as chief advisor to the President on political matters and potential new markets.
Claudia has more than 12 years of entrepreneurial and non-profit board experience. Her professional background includes project and program management for a diverse range of public and private sector clients.
Civic service is important to Claudia. She was the founding chair of Blueprint Houston , a citywide citizen initiative to advance growth strategies and long-term planning solutions for Houston . She has received mayoral board appointments to the Houston READ Commission and the Houston Area Water Corporation, where she currently chairs the education committee to oversee the design and development of the first Houston area water museum and education center. She also serves on the board of North Houston Association and Scenic Houston, and is an advisory board member for The Women's Resource of Greater Houston and the University of Houston , College of Technology , Construction Management Technology Board.
After graduating magna cum laude from University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, Claudia was accepted into a Master of Arts program in Education at Rice University where she continued graduate studies in psychology and political science.
Claudia has served as a panelist for the Rice University Graduate Women in Business Leadership Conference , and has been a guest speaker for the Houston READ Commission, Association of Fund Raising Professionals Ask the Experts Conference , Latinas on the Rise, and University of Houston/Clear Lake management program.
